Moving Day

Everyone worked hard on Wednesday to move everything from the old building to the new Junior High....it's AWESOME!!

Katlyn & Makayla were working hard, too, but could still take time out for a "photo op"!

Mrs. Gillespie is getting settled in her new room (just a few more boxes!)

The new Math room (right) is HUGE compared to the old one (below)! Mrs. Watkins is lovin' it already!

The BEST PART has to be the HUGE NEW HALLWAYS!!!

The hallways in the old building were cramped

but now there's LOTS of room!!! It's AWESOME!

Finishing Touches

The tile is being put in to get ready for everyone to move in before Christmas Break....

... and the new science room is being finished.
The back side of the new gym is enclosed....

A Look at the Inside...

I just love the new sign!

and inside the doors, they're getting a lot done!

The best part, of course is going to be the super-wide hallways!!

I think they said this is the new teacher's lounge (very cool)

The new lockers are HUGE
(a sixth-grader could live in one!)

or at least hide out for a while
(during a math test?)

and the new Science room is going to be AWESOME!

and, most importantly, a place to get a drink (in between classes, of course)

October progress

The back of the school by the elementary playground looks completely different!

I was paying attention to the "front" of the school...and they finished the back!

The back wall of the new gym was going up....

which from the other side (behind the junior high) looked like this....

now it's all enclosed and looks like this

New Things...inside and out

A View of the "Inside"

Lots of stuff is going on inside the building these days

so when it looks like nothing has changed, it's all on the inside.

But even from the "outside looking in" it looks like it's going to be very cool (and the inside report is that the classrooms are HUGE!)

Lots of Changes Over the Summer

Here are some "before" and "afters from June and July...

The "front entrance" went in...but I never got a good picture of it "done"
....I'll have to work on that.

The "south" part of the building started out looking like this....

the brick layers got this done in about a day....

....and now it's done.

A breezeway was built connecting the Jr. High to the Elementary building.
